Early Bird internationaal basketball toernooi voor junioren
Het is weer mogelijk om in te schrijven voor het internationale basketball-toernooi voor Junioren in de leeftijd van U20 (geboren na 1 januari 1992). Het toernooi is voor jongens en meisjes. In totaal doen er 36 teams aan mee. Het is een sterk toernooi. Naast de top van het Nederlandse basketball doen er verschillende sterke teams mee uit het buitenland. Het toernooi wordt gespeeld met pasen en duurt in totaal 4 dagen, 6 april t/m 9 april 2012. Wil je meer weten over het toernooi dan is dat te vinden op onze internetpagina www.earlybird.nl. Het toernooi wordt georganiseerd door basketballvereniging Early Bird te Purmerend. Je moet er ook dit jaar weer bij zijn. Elk jaar wordt het een groter spektakel met optreden van bands, dansgroepen en nog andere optredens. Meld je zo spoedig mogelijk aan, want "vol is vol" !

iBasketball Winter Camp
In de kerstvakantie zal dit jaar voor het eerst het iBasketball Winter Camp worden georganiseerd. Gedurende drie dagen zal er in Landsmeer training worden gegeven door diverse basketball prominenten uit Nederland. Onder leiding van Ivo Boom zullen diverse individuele aspecten van het basketball worden getraind.
Het kamp zal worden gehouden van woensdag 28 t/m vrijdag 30 december. Gedurende deze dagen zal er worden getraind van 09:00 tot 17:00 uur, waarna de kinderen lekker thuis kunnen slapen.
Uiteraard is er gedurende deze tijdstippen medische zorg aanwezig en zorgen wij voor voldoende eten en drinken. Tevens kunnen wij rekening houden met speciale dieet wensen.
Na afloop van het kamp krijgt iedere deelnemer een certificaat en een originele iBasketball bal mee naar huis. Deelnemers moeten minimaal 8 jaar oud zijn.

10th International Basketball Tournament Gniezno 2012
On behalf of the President of Gniezno and TS Basket Gniezno I would like to invite you to take part in the 10th International Basketball Tournament Gniezno 2012 for girls and boys. The competition takes place every year in Gniezno, the first capital city of Poland , a city with 70 000 citizen, located in the western part of Poland. At the moment it is the best available competition in regard to the number and range of countries taking place in. In the history of competition, until now, all such teams from different countries took part: Spain, Great Britain, Israel, Turkey, Italy, Hungary, Netherlands, Ukraine, France, Estonia, Belgium, Latvia, Ireland, Germany, Russia, Sweden, Czech, Denmark, Serbia, Lithuania, Macedonia and Poland. These teams were represented by competitors from many exotic countries, for example: Uganda, Sudan, Syria, Nigeria, Pakistan and Cameroon. Our competition offers a very high standard of accommodation (boarding home, student´s hostel, hotels, first class hostel, it means no sleeping on the floor, no bedrolls and mattresses), good food and a wide range of other non-sport attractions. We have therefore limited the number of teams to 40 (10 teams for 4 categories).
The competition takes place in Gniezno in well equipped sport halls of required measures, every first weekend on July (Friday/Saturday/Sunday 06-08.07.2012). We organize following match categories:
* Girls 1995/96, * Girls 1997/98, * Boys 1995/96, * Boys 1997/98
We offer:
* the playing of at least 5 matches 4 x 8 minutes,
* board and lodging (3 meals daily),
* water included during all games
* visiting of the first capital city of Poland with a guide,
* students as guard and guide,
* disco or concert for youth,
* use of mini aquapark for a small fee 2 PLN/h. (0,5 euro)
* t-shirt souvenir gifts,
* free transport to and from airport in Poznan (50 km) and Bydgoszcz (70 km), others airports for a small fee,
* an integration evening for trainers and guardian,
* free city traffic transport,
* cups for the 3 best teams in every category, and certificates for others,
* a match of foreign trainers vs polish trainers.

One trainer of every team is our guest and cost free. Other persons (drivers, guardians, doctors, statisticians, parents and others) have to pay like the competitors and they get the same services. If you have questions, write an e-mail.
